Biography

Eda is a Thai contemporary Berlin-based artist known for sculpted textiles, fashionised tapestries, and public installation work. The artist’s use of the unconventional materials like the discarded Buddhist monk textiles to reimagine the concept of desexualization by reconstructing the transformative self-documented editions that embrace the rich and diverse wealth of identities. Influenced by her Buddhist upbringing and shaped by a transhood in Thailand, Eda's work embarks on a journey of self-discovery and desexualization, presenting a beyond-gender approach that transcends the normative societal constructs. Her art has been showcased internationally, captivating audiences with its profound depth and sensitivity, questioning gender roles within Buddhist traditions and celebrating queer identities.
